Katy Perry's new Hillary Clinton anthem has no "fuck you" subtext whatsoever

LOS ANGELES -- Pop star Katy Perry performed her new single “Chained to the Rhythm” at the 2017 Grammys on Sunday night, and on Monday, Perry took to Twitter to clarify that the headbanger is just a cheerful pop anthem about the beauty of life in Hillary Clinton's America and has "no 'fuck you' subtext whatsoever," she said.

Katy Perry was a relentless supporter of President Hillary Rodham Clinton during the campaign and the international music icon has been very public about the delight she felt when Clinton defeated failed GOP candidate Donald Trump by a staggering 3 million votes in November.

"Life has never been better, and the world has never felt more sane," she said. "I'm just so grateful to be alive to see America elect its first woman president."
