Peter Dinkelage named "Sexiest Man Alive"

MANHATTAN -- People magazine has named Peter Dinklage, star of Game of Thrones, X-Men and at least one Maureen Dowd column, the "Sexiest Man Alive."

Dinklage joins Matt Damon, George Clooney, Denzel Washington in the exclusive club of handsome, charming and mostly white men.

"I'm deeply honored," Dinklage told People, "if also healthily afraid. We all know this distinction can be a blessing and a curse. Mel Gibson, Johnny Depp and Adam Levine got the curse. I just pray I end up being one of the blessed Sexiest Men Alive, like Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson."
