Frederick Douglass issues statement: "I am dead, and with her"

BOSTON -- On Friday, Frederick Douglass issued a statement from beyond the grave saying, "I am dead, and with her."

The author, former slave, abolitionist and feminist who ran for Vice President on the Equal Rights Party ticket in fact died in 1895.

President Hillary Rodham Clinton, who beat failed GOP candidate Donald Trump by a crushing margin of 3 million votes in November, thanked Douglass for his passionate posthumous support.
