Angry God sues Donald Trump for libel in New York Southern District Court
NEW YORK -– After a week that saw failed presidential candidate Donald J. Trump countering media reports about is sexual predation and racism with Tweets touting his "close relationship with God" nineteen times, God is striking back.
On Friday, God filed suit accusing Trump of libel in New York's Southern District Court, saying Trump, "has knowingly and deliberately spread malicious falsehoods about me for the last fifteen months. My reputation may never recover."
In a complaint filed by God's longtime lawyer Pontius Pilate, God claims that contrary to Trump's assertions, the former reality TV star is an illiterate poseur who has "never once read the Bible" and insists Trump has not once recited the Lord’s Prayer. God claims that as an adult, Trump has attended Church just once in 48 years, "and then he only entered the house of God to woo a devout Christian supermodel."
God, who is a registered Democrat and ardent Hillary Clinton supporter, argues that Trump has repeatedly lied about God's views on criminalizing abortion and homosexuality. "For Christ's sake, I invented abortion, and I have a gay son!"
Trump fired back with a barrage of tweets: “Nobody does Church better than TRUMP,” “God and Trump go way back,” and “GOD is being very unfair – WORSE THAN AMERICAN MEDIA."
Trump vowed to beat the lawsuit, and take it all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary. "There's no higher authority than that!" Trump tweeted.
