Academics note decline in 'fake news,' higher emphasis on 'reporting'

Experts are seeing a notable shift in news coverage with media organizations moving toward the lost art of reporting stories supported by facts.

Breitbart editor Alexander Marlow commented, “It’s just getting really tough these days to get people to read and believe our articles. It’s almost like people can tell that we’re just pulling shit out of our asses and smearing it on the page.”

Breitbart’s readership has declined by 45% in the past month alone, while subscriptions to the New York Times have increased by 50%. Experts are unclear on what impact this newfound emphasis on ‘reporting’ will have on the impressionable American population.
